DOUBLE POINTS FOR NORDSTROM AT THRUXTON

Freddy Nordstrom's Brings Home The Points In The Latest SEAT Cupra Championship Event.

Freddy Nordstrom (Weybridge) bounced back to take two points scoring positions in the latest round of the SEAT Cupra Championship held at Thruxton circuit at the weekend.

His PlumberTraining.com backed SEAT Leon had undergone several changes since the last round two weeks previously at Donington Park when mechanical woes had blighted his races. The problem was sourced and a new gearbox and air filter were fitted in the short time before Thruxton where there was no practice so it was straight into qualifying with the hope of improvement.

With the car's problem from Donington rectified it was 11th in Race One for Freddy after which a series of further set up changes much improved the car. In the second race Freddy was in storming form moving up to 5th place, gaining further valuable points including an extra point for most places gained from grid to finish.

The next race is in a fortnight's time and sees the team heading north to the Yorkshire circuit of Croft.
